This page sets out how the content on Casino Apps is researched, written and corrected. It is here so you can judge the site by its method rather than by its promises.

Everything is checked at source

A fact only goes on a page if we have read it on the operator’s own website. Licence numbers come from the operator footer. Welcome offers come from the operator promotions page, including the terms behind it. Payment methods come from the operator banking pages. Game counts come from the operator’s own games list.

We do not lift facts from other comparison sites. If a figure is not published anywhere we can reach it, the page says that the operator does not publish it. It never gets filled in with a plausible number.

We write from using the app

Reviews are written after the app has been installed and used on a real phone in South Africa. Where we describe how something feels to use, that is a description of using it. Where we are reporting a published fact, it is a published fact and the page reads that way.

Every review names at least one fault

No app is perfect and a review that reads like an advert is no use to anyone. Every review on this site names something the operator does badly or does not offer. If we could not find a fault worth naming, the review is not finished.

Ratings are editorial

The rating out of five is ours. The method behind it is set out on how we rate casino apps. No operator can buy a rating, change one, or see one before it is published.

How we keep pages current

Casino offers in South Africa change often. We re-check the offers and the licence details on the operators we cover, and we update the page when something has changed. Where a page has a figure that has an expiry on it, we would rather remove it than leave a number on the site that is no longer true.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to know. Email info@casinoapps.co.za with the page and what is wrong with it. Where a correction changes the substance of a page, we change the page rather than quietly editing a line and moving on.

Independence

The site earns money through affiliate links, which is explained in full on the affiliate disclosure page. That arrangement pays for the work. It does not decide what the work says. Operators have no say over our content, our ratings or the order anything appears in.

Content is written and edited by the Casino Apps editorial team. We publish as a team rather than under individual bylines.
